My friend doesn't like them either though. He says that their neck feels wrongMy girls and my boys are some of the friendlier birds I have. And believe it or not, they're still rather cold tolerant. We had a freeze that killed three perfectly healthy birds and caused many of my Pheonix hens combs (tiny combs, not large male combs) to fall off, and the only one that had problems was my males comb and toes. Other than that, they were more than content
It stinks that you can't get them, though.
I'm also merely an admirer and not an owner. I very nearly went for it on some bantam Naked Neck hatching eggs earlier this spring, but decided to postpone that venture for now due to too much chicken math already having occurred this year.

That makes me even more excited to get my hands on some of them!
