Turken Naken Necks (EW!)

My girls and my boys are some of the friendlier birds I have. And believe it or not, they're still rather cold tolerant. We had a freeze that killed three perfectly healthy birds and caused many of my Pheonix hens combs (tiny combs, not large male combs) to fall off, and the only one that had problems was my males comb and toes. Other than that, they were more than content

My friend doesn't like them either though. He says that their neck feels wrong

The babies are adorable. They are supposed to have a very friendly personality too.

I'd love a few but they aren't available in my country.

The babies are SO adorable! It stinks that you can't get them, though. I'm also merely an admirer and not an owner. I very nearly went for it on some bantam Naked Neck hatching eggs earlier this spring, but decided to postpone that venture for now due to too much chicken math already having occurred this year.

I have a set of NN's I'm breeding this spring. They're just unique. People like unique.

I used to not like the look's of the Naked Neck's, but once I tried them out because of the desert heat that we get, I found out that they have nice personalities too. It also helped that the rooster was non human aggressive. Now, I would not have a flock that didn't have Naked Neck's in it.

@JaeG I have a hatch of them that's due this Friday, and if I could I would share some of my egg's with you. They are from my Naked Neck hen's that lay the best egg's. Too bad you don't live near me.

There neck don't have feathers. So there not water proof like others would be. Most chickens do stand in the rain and let themselves get soaked.

I'm not familiar with quails and their size, but that sounds so small!! Sounds similar to my OEGBs. I love eensy-weensy tiny bantams.

Oh yeah, they're always getting them in bantam assortments at the local TSCs. I'm guessing the bantam NNs are about that size? Very similar in size to the OEGBs, then! That makes me even more excited to get my hands on some of them!
