Well I'm new to chickens! and the BYC site but have found it VERY helpful thus far! I am having a bit of difficulty with one of my newly aquired chicks though. He/She seems perfectly healthy and happy but I am not sure what it is! My boss's son hatched chicks in school and they needed a new home so I was given a few.. this one is odd looking. I'm unsure if it is mutated or a turken? I have been searching all night without much luck. I was given a 'list' of the breeds the hatched and turken is certainly not on there but I don't know what else it could be! Any advice would be great, thank you!

First of all,

As for the chick, a picture would be very helpful in trying to identify what breed it is for you.

Oh geez I was so caught up in the story that I forgot to put the picture.

It's a turken/silkie cross. If it develops silkie feathers, it's called a Showgirl.

See the extra toes, black skin and bump on its head? Those are all characteristics of silkies.

Darling baby! I'm jealous! I'm dying for a showgirl...

Thank you guys so much!! I'm relieved to hear that this little chick is suppose to look the way it does. It's really one of my favorites of the bunch.
