Turkey and Quail

I've had quail since April and was thinking of possibly getting turkey next Spring. I've seen on here where you should avoid mixing Quail with other poultry. I currently have my coturnix in pens on one side of my house. My thought was be to keep the turkey on the other side of my property. Probably a good 100 feet apart. Would anyone advise against this or has anyone run into problems?

Any advise is appreciated.

If the turkey can’t get to the quail pen, I don’t see a problem.

Im kinda curious now lets say i want some ducks o.o are u able to mix those with quail or chickens ? So hatching a emu egg one day o.o

My neighbor has chickens almost exactly 100 feet from my quail and there hasn’t been a problem. There’s a deck and a garage and some various fencing in between because there’s someone else’s yard in the middle. They’ve never had contact, but my one quail would crow at their crazy loud chickens.

I think there are some illnesses that are mild for chickens and deadly for quail, so if the chickens can fling dirt and droppings into the quail area, I think they can get sick.
