Turkey Coop Build

Pics
Any way, hubby helped raise all the walls, so the frame is done. 20180701_160832.jpg 20180701_173150.jpg

The wall that the dog is sitting in , in the picture yesterday , got more boards added today because the run is only 6' high and the coop is 8 feet. I painted everything i could reach, and cut some plywood for the knee wall. And painted one side of that. As well as one whole sheet of plywood got painted on one side as well. Much easier to paint the edges that way. I used cheap reject plywood so i really want it well painted. Tomorrow i can start putting plywood on and assembling the run. Hubby seems to think no door needed for the run.:lau trust me, it will get a door.

How wide is the coop......hopefully more than turkey wing span wide?
Seems narrow for large birds to fly up and down from roosts.
5 feet wide. Turkeys do not roost in the coop. The hens use it for laying eggs, that is about all.

Funny my turkeys roost in their shed and lay eggs outside on the ground. We will see if yours are cooperative. Turkeys tend to do what they want, not what we want. They are determined birds.
