Turkey Coop Build

Pics
Turkeys can be some frustrating birds at times. I keep mine confined most of the time to a large run or else they can drive me bananas with their crazy shenanigans. Mine are currently not let out at all. I will be happy when egg laying season is done. Those hens are driving me crazy. They are noisy complainers who want out to lay in the tall grass. :barnieI actually prefer the toms to the hens. The toms are less noisy.

Well i have a lot of toms for sure, not looking forward to the fighting.

I can only keep 3 adult toms. More and the ganging up is terrible. 2 toms will be at it constantly. 3 spread out the fighting, but it still goes on here and there. Their pecking order changes depending on winner of each fight. 1 Tom would of course be the best, but it was hard enough getting down to the 3.

I got one more piece of plywood put up today, and painted the places i couldn't reach without the ladder. 20180704_194732.jpg
You can see the knee wall by the ladder.

Another piece of plywood up and painted on both sides. And i used some pieces to fill in a tall narrow gap on the end. Painted those as well.

Then i went and carried the compressor over and started stapling wire on the front.

It is hard to see but the wire goes down 2 feet from the top to meet where the top for the run will be.
