Its only an L shaped piece of wood as a brace, shouldn't cause issues.

I put the perches back up today, securing them with screws and putting hardware cloth at the end of the perches to try and protect the birds. Coons might try to grab them if they perch up against the wire.

And i put the three youngest turkeys in the pen in the turkey coop!

How ill you get the older ones in there?
Where do they roost at night....catch them then maybe?

I lock them up in the lean-to, so it will be pretty easy to catch them. I will put them in a dog crate on the Mule and cart them down the hill.

I put the month olds in last night, and the grown ones this morning. Then i carried on doing more work. Hubby put the latches on the door, i secured the perches and put up a rain gutter for the feed.
I think they want to leave the coop and free range like they did yesterday!

Put a pyramid of hay bales in, and a pile of half rotted logs. They were having a good time eating ants. I am going to add a covered dust bath box and a swing soon.
