turkey eggs hatching under the mom

Thank you very much! We will move them with the other momma for the night. Do you think they'll go back to their mom once they are all together?
I'll have to keep the Tom and the other two hens out of the coop tonight, so any other chicks falling down are left alone. Thanks again! Nature and God are incredible! I sure thought I would be tossing rotten eggs next week, but no----babies!!!

I put the 3 poults under the other momma turkey in the ground nest, and they are all hidden under her now. I used the feed scoop to give her a snack while I sat each poult next to her, where she couldn't see under the scoop. So far, so good! Thanks for your help! I think I'll move the nesting box momma and however many more poults she hatches, into the brooder with the other momma and babies. Space-wise, that's the best seclusion for all. Thanks again for your help today! Our first time to watch nature's glory!

I believe the babies will be ok with either mom. But I expect the mom will find her babies when she is done hatching their siblings. Either way, congrats! Keep us posted and post some pics if you get a chance.

I just saw your egg number question--I'm thinking 8-9 or so, maybe 10 more might hatch. The Rio Grand has not gotten off of her nest, so I have no idea on her numbers. 7 have hatched between the two momma turkeys today: 3 Easterns and 4 RioGs. This has been a super cool day!
Hoping they live!
