Turkey Lockdown! HELP!

Tonight is lockdown. I am so nervous! I have put the eggs on their side, put a blanket over the incubator, added water and added a wettish paper towel under the eggs. Anything else that I can do? Thanks for all the info!

Do not put the eggs on wet paper towels. It cools the eggs as the water evaporates. The water and whatever wick you are using to increase the humidity should not be touching the eggs.

I do not understand why you would put a blanket over the incubator. If the blanket is blocking any of the air holes you can suffocate the poults before they hatch.

I did take the blanket off when the incubator warmed up. The door to the room got left open so the temp in the room got really cold. I took the paper towel out.

I agree with Elk. If you fixed those things it should be fine though! I'm sure you did great. Fingers crossed for a great hatch!

The alarm didn’t go off last night so the humidity was only 15 last night and this morning. Is that ok?

Tomorrow the eggs are supposed to hatch but I am not seeing any signs. None of them are moving around, and I don't see any pips should I be worried??? Thx!

Did you candle before lockdown?
I wouldn’t worry yet, they have time. I know it’s hard waiting

Yes I did. They looked good, I think? This is my first time incubating so they looked alive.
