Turkey poult has spraddle leg and possibly a neurological disorder. Please help

Still getting better everyday!
Almost has a completely normally walk now with strong legs.
He is eating and drinking with no problems.
Swelling is almost none existant. The only thing holding him back right now is the exposed belly button but still treating with antibiotic ointment.
Thanks for caring so much and checking in daily!

I'm very fond of Turkey's. My neighbors Momma Turkey decided his place was too crowded and brought her baby to my property to raise her. We fed and cared for them both. Unfortunately, the baby contracted fowl pox, and after 2 months of her being in a dog crate in our living room, antibiotics, and lots of love she succumbed to the disease. One day I will have Turkey's of my own. For now, it's chickens. I hope he continues to thrive and thank you for not giving up on him.

The left is day 1 after drying. The right is day 3 and it looks kinda yuck because I just applied antibiotics. But it has gotten smaller and he seems to do well. He hears the other 2 turkeys and wants to join them but I want alittle more healing before doing so.

I agree with waiting a bit to rejoin him with the others. I'm not sure, but is it possible or necessary to apply blue cote to his wound if it's not completely healed prior to putting him in with the others?

I want it at least almost closed some so I know that no infection can get in. I probably could but I'd perfer to keep the antibiotics on. Its drying out really good and is smaller. He also doesn't seem to have any pain or irritation with it.

Sad update:
Mr. Wobbles unfortunately passed away tonight.
Not exactly sure what happened as he was on the right track.
He was perfectly fine when I left the house around 1pm this afternoon but when we got home around 6pm he was acting super strange. He became very unsteady, breathing funny, and just not what he was 5 hours prior. Before he was running around, eating, drinking, playing and being very loud talking to the other turkeys.
I alwaus knew this was a possiblity, it's just so weird to me how he was literally doing so great.
Thanks for all the help and concerns.

I am so sorry to hear this. It's definitely hard when they seem to be making such a recovery to suddenly lose them. I had a similar story happen years ago and it's still hard to handle :( If you're up to it, here's Will's story.

Wow!!! This sounds so similar to Mr. wobbles story minus a few aspects. I am so sorry for your loss and people say it's part of raising from eggs.
Yes, I get that but my heart is SO big and seeing them get better and doing so well but yet fall back so so quickly just because I had to leave the house and couldn't monitor literally every move every 30 mins.
It's sad and it tears my heart up everytime.
Most importantly it hurts my 5 year old son.
He is going to be so upset when he wakes up and I will always be strong but gosh I hate it.
Hate you had to experience that as well and I appreciate you sharing your story!!
