We live on a lake. The Corp owns all the land around the lake and the homes boarder the Corp land. They can be a royal pain in the rear. We try not to draw attention. I'm not sure how much info I'd be asked if I call the game warden or whoever and ask about discouraging wild turkeys.

Wouldn't coyote urine attract other coyotes? I lost birds last summer to coyotes. I sure don't want to attract them. What if I let my dog hike his leg on the posts? He'd be more than happy to.

you would be better off to take a few buddies, go around the perimeter of where you want to discourage them, and pee yourselves. Wild animals really don't care for humans.. or their pee. Well except bears and wolves maybe. My dear friend in Cali has a wild animal rescue. Eagles, Owls, Possums, (good god does she have possums. "Possum Sally" they call her) anywho, they had a large property in BFE and to discourage the coyote and all kind of predators from ripping the bird enclosures open she would send all the men out to pee around the perimeter of the property weekly. She probably plied them with beer.

She swears this is the best way she has found to keep stuff out. I suppose female urine works just as well in a pinch but maybe the male hormone has something to do with it.

We picked up six turkey chicks about 3 weeks ago, along with some chicks, one died within a few days, and within a few days after that another one started having trouble with one leg. It is now apparent that it is neurologic in basis and he seems to be deteriorating.... Today, another turkey chick started with the same symptoms! They are kept in clean wood chips, changed frequently, water and food changed twice a day. High quality food, medicated crumbles. Electrolytes and probiotics added to their water.... I am fairly new to poultry raising, this is my second batch of chicks.... First batch was healthy and easy, but no turkeys....Help!

LOL, I'll ask my neighbor. He'll want whiskey though, not beer.

Don't worry, that method isn't one I'd consider. I also don't want to poach him. I'm limited on what I can try, because it's the neighbor's property. I might try the flags first, since it's easy. I will call someone if I can't run him off myself, but we really hate having the Corp of Engineer people coming around.

In some states if you have a wild animal being a nuisance you can get a special permit from the Game Department to kill it.
