Thanks Y'all I am guessing it will hold as many as two incubators will hold but not sure as I will have to use egg cartons to hatch in plus room for a bucket of water. I am going to pick up some baskets to put the egg cartons in to hold the chicks. I am so excited to have found this! WalnutHill I used my thermometer to make sure it is on the correct temp and it is right on! I am hoping for some great hatches!

Feedman if you got any eggs to hatch off of ebay I think your doing great! As not everyone on ebay is honest and I know a lot of ppl that complain they don't get any eggs to hatch off their eggs.
Congrats on your hatch! How many jakes and jenney's did you get out of your hatch?

I just checked to see how many egg cartons would fit in the hatcher and it will hold 7 dozen egg cartons so that is 84 eggs. Whoot Whoot!

Ok, so I think I have convinced myself to hatch in the egg carton, I am having problems finding some good information on how to do it and I also have chicken eggs in there too, alittle worried about the height of the turkey eggs versus the chicken eggs..

It makes total sense to me as to why they didn't hatch as last year when I hand turned I had great success in both chicken and turkey. My sister goes into lockdown on Tuesday also with her chicken eggs and I want to be able to point her to a great information thread on upright hatching as her hatch rate after lockdown has only been 50% or so.

Oh and I showed DH the Hatcher you built and he just shook his head and walked away..

I have 5 Midget White poults about 4 weeks old and one is scratching at the back of his neck and has rubbed a spot raw. Any idea what is going on? I smeared some triple antibiotic ointment (no pain reliever) on the spot to see if that would help, but he's still scratching. The only other treatment I can think of is an anti-itch cream with Benadryl, but I don't know if that is safe or not.

I don't know if there are any written instructions. But you could go on the Easter Hatch A Long thread and find Ronontt1 and ask him he is great at helping people with hatching issues and a million other things.

I do understand your DH's response and I felt that same way a couple years ago. lol

not sure. If I was to go by body size and snood bump size. I would guess 1 male and 2 females. The 1st chick that hatched was huge.
