I am so sorry! The lake is ready to flood? Praying for you that the rain will stop and all will be well!

No doubt about it now. My coop is going to flood. There's nothing I can do about it. I'm standing beside my run in these pictures. The water is closer than it looks. This was this morning and it's been raining most of the day. I'm afraid to go look.

I am so sorry! Do you have any pallets or anything blocks or scraps of wood that you can give them to be able to get out of the water.

I keep pallets in my pens and my coop is off the ground due to all the rain we get here.

My Mother and Sister and her Husband and family all live in Agra, Oklahoma... They have just been drenched, mom called this morning, wasn't going to church as she was afraid she would be able to get back home.. Water flowing over most of the roads, creeks really high..

Some good news. The lake hasn't quite made it to the coop. The sun came out for a couple hours this evening. More rain predicted. I am in TX. I had an agility trial this weekend and my usual road was closed due to flooding. The way I took was open, but there was a lot of water on the bridge (not flowing over yet, just pooling. I wouldn't have driven through if it was flowing over). On the plus side, my house isn't really in danger. A lot of people can't say that, so I'm very grateful it's just the coop. 2 months ago, we were in a four year draught.

I think we have all been in a drought for a while. Wonderful that your coop did not flood. I took my hen and her babies a new nest last night after it rained. She has a high spot and they were dry. But she would not use the nest that we gave her for some reason.

Hi sorry to be a bit of a buzzkill but you can't keep baby chicks with poults as I lost my last hatching coz of having them with baby chicks it is fomenting in the poo that causes the turkeys to get warts on there eyes and they suffocate to death from the warts it is a sad and looks to be a painful procedure just want to tell you before it is to late looks similar to the pic but the bird is not mine I had young poults but anyone congrats on your hatch of chicks.

ive never seen anything like that before. granted, im no expert but i have raised grown turkeys with chickens for a few years and have had no problems. last year i turned 2 month old poults out with the chickens free range and they did fine also. i believe you have something other than your chickens wrong with those turkeys

I have had chickens raise some of my turkey before and I have had them in the same pens and I have not had any of those problems before. I'm sorry you did. I do not have blackhead on my property. I know a lot of people do. But I appreciate you trying to help. Thank you.
