I hear you. If I was working outside the home, I wouldn't have near enough time to do everything for all my animals. It still bothers me to no end to visit a farm and find all the animals knee-deep in s#!& because the people work full-time and don't have the time or interest in taking care of their animals when they get home

Anyway, so glad the people on here aren't like that!

So 2 questions

1) At what age should it be ok to add teenage hens to the adults

2)A friend just came over and said he had a friend that was interested in a breeding pair. Im not sure yet if I will have a pair available for them but if I do what is a good price for a young pair? I was thinking $75. Does that sound reasonable?

ALway easier to ask high, and decrease a price, then start low and you could have had more. See any prices on CL for your area??

My crew free ranges and so the young hens are already in the fray. I know you have a penned situation, so IDK. Are they going nto a pen with big girls already in there or in with only the boys?

Those are all good knives

I bought this processing kit last year and it did the job. I also bought a pinning knife and tomato huller

The tomato huller is very similar to a lung remover(though WAY cheaper) I used it to scrape the lungs out. Though I only used it part of the time I also just used my fingers to scrape them out.
