I'll have to take a peep on ebay then! Thank you! Mine only weighs up to 3lbs, which is kind of worthless now that I started doing 40 bar batches of soap, lol.
You'll want to weigh adult turkeys now too!

I think I paid about $15.?? including shipping. It is very similar, and weighs in pounds and ounces or grams and I weigh my packages, turkeys and rabbits on it. It came with batteries and a AC adapter plug. I take mine into the yard, and use it on the table top, when I am processing and it is very accurate.

Heck, I could weigh my kids on it! How big are they? I wonder because I sometimes have problems weighing small birds who won't stay on the platform. With that, I could tare out the box though.

6"x9 1/2" overall and weighing platworm 6x7 1/4 approx. and I just used it to weight a baby turkey poult 1.9 oz.

We set eggs 22 December in a Little Giant. Nothing fancy as we are just starting to raise them but an upgrade from our homemade bator that wouldn't hold the temp constant. Then we set another clutch of 25 eggs two days ago. I haven't candled them yet but am waiting and hoping that they are as fertile as the last ones have been. We've had almost 100% form but only a 95% hatch rate so far. But all of them that have made it to lock down have hatched, so that's good.

Someone asked about egg sizes and hatch weight ... Our eggs are all close to 90 gms when we set them and this batch hatched out at 55 - 57 gms on Saturday night. We weighed again today and they were up to 72 -73 gms so they are growing nicely ... I think.

The funniest thing about them is that one of them is already strutting and posturing around the other two. Lol.

I have a baker's scale for weighing flour and such. We put a small plastic bowl or one of those boxes that mushrooms come in on it and put the poult in it to weigh. It only weighs to 11 lbs though so ... hehehe ... we weighed our dressed turkey for thanksgiving on our Wii fit balance board. It has it's own profile now.

I wanted to post a pic of the scale that I bought a few months ago. I use this scale to weigh eggs and babies. I won an auction on ebay and I paid $9.01 for it. It's a postal scale. It weighs up to 86 lbs. I think Celie has one similar to this as well. Celie may have bought hers for even less than I did. Correct Celie?

It doesn't get dark until 6:00 PM, so I want to race home to see if I can take some pics of my light colored girls and post tomorrow. It's been dark by the time I get home and they have already flown on top of the coop or in the pecan tree. :/

Yes, I have been in such a good mood these days because I'm not getting home when it's dark. I am so excited about the time change soon. :weee
