Turkeys in AZ Help with 107 degree heat

Hey everyone, I love this site, I have ducks, geese and chickens and now turkeys, I can usually find answers to everything here

This my 1st try with turkeys, I have 4 bronze they are 6 weeks old. My question is, I live in the phoenix AZ area and it is going to be 107 again today, soon to be 110. Can turkeys survive excessive heat? I have a swamp cooler in my chicken coup and the hens stay in there during the heat of the day. I could rearrange and make a small spot for the turkeys if needed. They were panting pretty hard yesterday but by evening they seemed to have recovered ok, unlike the chickens who are just miserable.

I would be worried about the turkeys also. I'm in Louisiana and we have some hot days as well. I have kiddie pools that are always filled with fresh water so that they can wade in the water. I also have raised coops and the turkeys go under the coops to get out of the sun. I have a lot of shade trees on my property so that helps as well.

My young poults don't seem to mind the heat as much as the adults. They usually cool off in the shallow part of the pond, when the weather gets really hot. Some times I run a water sprinkler for my ducks and they will run and play under it and the turkeys will join them, but I would not recommend that for young poults. I do put fans on all the birds that are panting as well as on my rabbits and I use frozen ice bottles in the rabbit cages as well as fans during the day. If the kiddy pool, KuntryGirl suggested doesn't work, you might want to try changing the water to cool it more often, or add some ice to cool it and keep it in the shade. Can you put some frozen bottles in their coop?

I live in a climate where summer highs can easily creep up into the 100s. I have a couple of kiddie pools laid out where all my poultry can get to them. On non-humid days I'll spray them with the hose on mist.
