Turner not working on IncuView incubator. (How often to turn eggs by hand?)

Good to know.

I'm NEVER going to have a broody hen. I have Orpington, Wyandotte, Australorp, Plymouth Rock, Brahma, geez, chickens!

Why? How? You can not control a hen becoming broody, but if she does----sure you can break her broodiness, but most of the time she will go broody again in the near future so you will have to break her again. If you plan to have No Broody hens you might as well set you up a few broody breaker pens because with the chickens mentioned----I am sure you will need the pen.

I mean like, I want a broody hen but it seems like I'll never have one. And I mentioned the breeds because they seem to be popular for going broody, but they still haven't.

How old are they? Go to tractor supply and get you 1/2 dozen of the fake/real looking eggs---put you a dot on one end with a sharpie so you do not have to pick them up every day and inspect to see if they are real or fake---LOL. Leave them---Might get you what you want?

They are a year old in March. I had a SLW hen sleeping on a nest with one egg tonight when I closed the, up, but I think she was just being stupid. I'll try fake eggs if I ever have the money.

Relevant to your interests, you can buy a replacement motor for around $15 off of eBay after S&H. I ordered one today so I can run a second incubator without hand turning (I find it really tedious, blech). As someone who isn't mechanically gifted, you simply unscrew it off the egg turning frame to replace it. I can't believe I put it off so long. XD
