I'll never be able to unsee the video of a twin chick that hatched but had absorbed its twin through its navel. The second chick was kicking and peeping in there. It was terrible. The girl didn't have any experience hatching chicks so was asking about a chick hatching "pregnant" but I do wonder if it wasn't a situation like this. It would make a lot more sense if it's because they were on one yolk.

I wish I did. I've brought it up before but I don't have a link. It was on Facebook and the girl was so overwhelmed by the comments that I think she deleted it in the end. :hmm
It's definitely NOT a common occurrence, period.
