twine from hay?

At our local Sunday swap meet there is a lady who crochets pot scrubbers out of them.
And she also crochets mitts out of them that are brilliant for rubbing dirt off of veggies in the garden.
The down side is that they never wear out so you don't get repeat customers.
I wonder if they can be woven into mats or macrame` plant hangers, etc.

just the other day i used it to secure a short length of a stick for a perch.
it what was handy and close at hand so i used ity.but i must say i knotted the ends to keep it from un fraying and being ingested. saw that thread with the person holding a dead chick with the poly bag string hanging from its vent.

then i tie it may times so not much string is available to pick at.

Those frayed and loose ends will burn and seal off with a lighter. Also helps the rest of the strand from unraveling. Just be careful molten plastic is just about as hard on your skin as boiling jelly.

We've never used the plastic twine; the only twine the guys will buy is sisal, cause they say it packs heavier bales without breaking. So we have green sisal and straw-colored sisal twine, and that stuff is ROUGH on the hands!
