Two 5 week silkies

Hello! I am new to having chicks on my own and I want help sexing these two chicks I have!
They are currently almost 5 weeks and look like the following.
The top row is chick 1
Bottom row is chick 2

I would guess top is roo bottom is hen but I could be Way off lol. it’s been years since I e had any of these lovely babies.

Thank you! I’m very eager and hoping they are both hens! But we shall see also here is a photo of the possible roo from a distance

It’s the head feathers that make me think roo. Roos have longer messier head feathers at this age, for the most part. But if you have a boy and a girl you can have silky babies

Both look like pullets to me so far.

I guess in some cases...
My only cockerel last season didn’t have much of a crest at all.

I thought that the ‘longer messier head feathers’ were streamers, which come in later.

Honestly though, it’s too early for me to know 100%. Silkies take a while to tell, usually.

Crest feathers at this age isn't reliable for sexing. Streamers don't start coming in until between 4-6 months of age.

Silkies are very hard to sex, but My guess is Females, how do they act? And i can also tell at 3 days old if you have pics of their combs, ”V” comb means girl and “U” comb means boy. Here’s My Silkie pullet Smokey she has a “v” comb and the other pic Is her now and still acting and looking like a Pullet

These are the only photos I have of them around the time I got them! I hope it helps? I know they aren’t head on.

And I wouldn’t go by how flat or bumpy the combs are because, females can have bumpy combs and boys can have flat combs. And females can have flat combs And sometimes the boys can have bumpy so it’s kind of confusing. So definitely watch for them “standing tall” and showing a little dominance
