They are tame and friendly with humans and dogs but sometimes pick on submissive or younger chickens. So far they both lay 6-7 eggs per week, missing a day every other week.

I'm glad you did! How's come you had to give them up?

We're moving and I can't have two separate coops in the new place. One of the Reds picks on my mellow and smaller chickens mercilessly. The two Reds are inseparable friends so they had to go together. I'm not sure if it's because we got them at a feed store when they were over a month old and she learned bad habits. It's sad because they're so sweet to people. We found them a great home where they'll be treated as pets so they'll be very happy. :)

I have one Red and she's definitely the boss of 6 other hens. 2 black australorps, white leghorn,Easter egger and 2 barred rocks. They're all outgoing except the Easter egger. I think it's because she knows she looks different then everyone else.
