U.S. drought fallout . . . might it affect all of our ducks?

Could it be the FDA? As is "the FDA's regulations"? I don't know what other regulating agency it might be...APHIS? But that's part of the FDA. I don't know - just speculating.

The makers of Payback feed by CHS just emailed me back. I asked them about the waterfowl feed they have and explained the corn issues in this thread and included the link to the study on the aflatoxin. Here is the second response from them (the first response was just saying he would check into it and get back to me):

...thanks for your e-mail,

I received an e-mail back from our CHS quality control people stating that the CHS Harrisburg mill will be testing every load of corn coming in, and will be rejecting any loads of corn that show evidence of mycotoxins such as aflatoxin.

We will do everything we can to protect our customers and their animals, but even with modern technology, there is a possibility that we could have isolated incidences of problems.

We appreciate your concerns, and we will be doing our best to try and eliminate any possible problems .

Thanks,
CHS Nutrition

I should note that the Payback feed that I get is made at the Harrisburg mill. There are other mills so you may want to check yourselves if you do use the Payback feeds.
