Well, I hatched 13 Lavender Ameraucanas and splits. 5 were Lavender. I kept only 4 Lavenders and 1 black, and gave away the others. It appears I kept all the girls. One 4H boy got 2 black girls I know. I don't know what the others got. Crazy, isn't it!

Auction? hahahaha ..... Hard to have auctions when all the darn girls go broody!

I had 21 broodies at once. I am now down to 10 or 11, I think.

Barred Rock broody #1 started hatching yesterday.

Barred Rock broody #2 is still sitting...

One of the New Hampshires is still sitting ......

I tried to break this one. She just won't break and is sitting on the floor on no eggs!

gosh yup you have bad broody luck--Id love to have 5 broodys at once! its 1 every 2 weeks or so. Rather have all chicks hatch at once around here. I have my very first broody Silver Laced Brahma!!! She's been sitting on air for two days. I will put 15 eggs under her since shes huge!!! Cant wait--I think Id go nuts with 20 though
