Well besides teacup yorkies my poofy murderers like eating birds yes birds.
Iv'e seen many a bird caught, beat on the ground and eaten. I was blaming a stray cat for months until I saw the culprit beating a bird.
I promise I do feed these chickens.

You’d be surprised at what your chickens eat that you don’t know about. Especially if they free range. In my experience, I have never had a chicken get sick from eating a toad.

My husband saw two of our girls having a tug of war over a dead mouse, he doesn't know if they killed it or found it dead (we put poison down to keep the rodent population under control) but he had a heck of a time getting it away from them.

Let them eat the frog. It's fine. Mine eat all kinds of weird stuff. Whatever they can catch. It's funny to watch them. See what they catch next. They would probably eat my rabbits too if the could figure out how lol. They chase them. Pretty funny until a bunny finally says hey and lu he's back. Chicken is like, whoa, that's not right. Lol. They act so surprised.

I still can't look them in the face, they're faverolles for pete's sake just blew my whole sweet little chicken illusion out of the water and plucked it nude.

Well, it kind of makes you glad they aren't dinosaur sized, doesn't it?

I wouldn't worry about it at all unless you live in an area that has poisonous frogs/toads. I've raised chickens for 30+ years and have gagged more than once at what I've caught them eating! Have never lost a chicken or had one get sick from their disgusting menu choices. I hope you never have to see what your flock will do to a hen that IS sick or injured.....now THAT is disgusting. (And really sad) Good luck!
