Uhg, it's going to be one of those days...

No comment.....I am an obsessive cleaner! It has to look spic and span everyday....no matter what the excuse...even my being on BYC.....but thats me.....sometimes wish I could be different or easier on myself....so far no good!

*Sigh* Well I still have a ton of things on my to-do list.

- Go get chicken feed.
- Set up the brooder as my first hatch is due tomorrow!!
- Clean bathroom
- Clean bedroom
- I'll probably have to vacuum again after I track a bunch of stuff all over the place in my attempt to clean
- Clean parrot cage

Hmmm....that should actually just about do it....then I have to feed the horses for the night, and then re-stuff my couch cushions if they are dry.

I seriously give you kudos for the couch cushion thing! I never would have the raisins to unstuff my couch. I'd be sooo afraid I'd shrink the covers LOL. I've kept covers on my couch since I got it oohh...15 yrs ago. everyone laughs at me for it, but I wash the covers regularly. I've never been able to enjoy the pretty look of the couch I picked out, but 3 kids and several pets later, it's almost good as new.

But that must be such a huge job re stuffing...please let me know how that works. I bet it'll smell so nice!

By covers, i mean blankets.

To reduce litter scatter, I use tall bins as litter boxes. When kitty jumps out, the litter falls off his fuzzy feet before they hit the floor.

To protect furniture and doorways from additional abuse, I put a scratchable alternative in front of the attractive surface - using whatever surface the offending kitty finds irresistable - carpet, sisel, even wood. Sometimes I have to cover the abused area with aluminum foil for a while - until kitty develops another habit.

I finally broke down and bought a fancy vacuum in order not to throttle my long-haired companions.

Okay you guys...(you all..?) what did you accomplish? Did we all peter out at lunch time or was that just me? It's still snowing here... alot! I haven't made it back out to the barn since this morning. Waiting for DH to wake up (he's on nights) and snowblow a path. again. So barn chores, other than the daily stuff, will wait til tomorrow. I have to say, I feel good about what I've done so far.

Time to wake DH and motivate him to move some snow....I'll get supper ready to throw into the oven.
