Well the dark nights are here half six and it's pitch black. Can't wait till next week when it's dark even earlier and freezing if the weather forecasts are correct. :(

I know, it’s depressing! :( Not looking forward to the Arctic blast that is allegedly on its way

It will be a big contrast to the weekend just gone. It was lovely here!

Is there another one on the way? The only Arctic blast I know about has been and gone (end of Sept/ beginning of Oct), I haven't heard of anymore coming?

I heard single figures by the weekend chance of snow on high ground. Also a cold front colder than last year's beast from the east! But the good old British weather is always changeable!

I heard Friday is when the wind will change direction and come from the north. Snow forecast for Scottish & northern England hills.

Oooo not nice at all. I know down here will be hitting single figures Sat onwards but still won't be as cold as would usually be this time of year - you guys up north always get it worse than us. All my birds were born this year so is their first winter, I just hoping it doesn't turn out to be one of those drawn out go on forever type of winters we usually get.

I got caught out with the snow this Year. We had a bit of a blizzard hit and I hadn't taped the front of the run. There was about 6“of snow in there! Poor hens didn't know what to do!
