Hi Barbara
Hope your good? I'm so pleased to hear you are ok up there and got through unscathed with the flooding. Thankfully we have here, although the river in our village was pretty high! We are up the other end of the village so not sure how far it would have made it.
We had a fab "C" was as rough as a bears bottom on Boxing Day. My day for doing the horses too first thing so I was a shaking wreck! I'm pleased to report though they went out well behaved. Was not expecting it as they stayed in on Christmas Day. I'm not sure I would have been able to hang onto anyone being naughty!!
Good going on getting out on rascal, touch wood he keeps his record of not ditching his rider on course

Been out on Harry last week but not yet this week. Rained heavy again yesterday evening and then froze over night so would not even be able to get out of the yard this morning. I've seen this rug for him, it's got chickens on it
I stopped myself from getting it but the urge to get a chicken rug is taking over!!
I have a pullet laying too, the little cross frizzle one has resumed her laying. She did lay a while back for a couple of weeks but then quit but she started again last week and laid 5 days on the trot but nothing again for the last couple of days. Pleased to report I've heard no more crowing!! I'm still not sure but nothing is jumping out at me as a boy. Time will tell I guess. I gave my mum 2 polish out of the same hatch as these and she got her first egg on Tuesday from one of them so I'm hoping these will get a wriggle on soon.
My fingers are still crossed that this was just a confused little girl!!
All the best for 2016 Barbara!!
Kim xx
