UK pigeon owners

Pics
That is the way the pigeon fanciers that I knew did things 30+ years ago.
Recently, a clock like in video came up on the Show "Pawn Stars" It is something obsolete now, but sentimental value to some Seasoned Fanciers. If I recall correctly,,,,,, did not bring in mucho $$$

How are Speckles and Millie getting on?:)
They are fine. Speckle is trying to walk on her leg alot more but her claw is still curled. I keep splinting it but it keeps going back to how it was. She scratched the skin off and bled all over my patio. I thought she had been attacked by something at first. She's OK now.

Both enjoying a dust bath!
I've also had to remove a egg from one of my pairs. There is no nest bowls it there so it was layed on the mesh floor. I think it may have also been frozen. And Ive had mice! When I cleaned them out there was a pile of shells from the seeds and mouse droppings. I don't think pigeons can shell the seeds first! It was on the tray under the loft that catches all the poop and spilled seeds. I put a snap trap in there and caught one then reset it and caught another, it was only caught by its back foot and running around. I didn't have the heart to kill it, it was a tiny little thing, so I went to some waste land down the road from me and let it go. It scampered away. I hope it will be ok. I just don't want them setting up shop in my loft.

I think I need to put some nest bowls in the loft. I removed another egg today. It had been layed on the mesh floor again. I think it is mama2. They nested on the bottom last year.

The second egg was smashed all over. I'm not really wanting any but if they keep laying it won't be much good for them. So nest bowls and switcheroos!

Seriously though, this guy Leo and at least 4 other cockbirds have been showing the hens exactly where they'd like to see some eggs. Out with the plastic eggs for me too!
You gonna try to avoid the whoopsies this time! It shows you just how you can so easily get overrun with them in no time!

Getting to one legged pigeons,,,,, :gig
I smoked some of my family members when I told them that one of the pigeons I just bought had only one leg. Told them that I just could not see it being left behind:hit. Assured them that it was able to fly regardless:)
Had them going with the pix ,,,, until they went into loft,,, and caught me red handed lying.:lau
