Chick hatched 24 hours ago with an unabsorbed egg sack. The yolk had not fully absorbed and now it has dried out. She's weak, but she still tries to stand, and peeps loudly. I've put electrolites in the water and trying to get her to drink. Should I "wet" the remaining yolk sack?

I'm going to soften some chick feed and get something in her.

What else can I do? She is one of one four Buckeye chicks that hatched. My rooster died and I'm desperate to save ALL of his offspring.

OK, no one replied. I put Neosporin around the dried yolk "plug". I got some water and mashed feed in her. She's pooping ok, but really weak.

No one has any advice?

Did you leave them in the incubator or did you put them in a brooder already? When that happens, the best thing you could do is leave them in the incubator (in the warmth and humidity), so that it doesn't dry out and the yolk will be absorbed. :)
