Well.. They are little dinosaurs.

I live on a mountain overlooking a meadow in northwest nj. We have one family owned general store, if they don’t have it you don’t need it. No traffic lights. We have our first confirmed case of corona virus. Am I concerned? Of course. I will take appropriate precautions. Am I afraid? No. My life belongs to Jesus.

Going back to the old "Victory Garden Days" from WWII. Keeping chickens and growing vegetables at home. Never a bad idea. So how's the coronavirus going in your town?
I don`t know, i live not in Moscow, i live in one village 50 km from Moscow. Moscow are near, i can use bus, car or train but i am too lazy to travel there more often as one time in one of two years  I travel there only when i need some books for read (i buy enough much in one time), or any spare parts for my technik - incubators, meat grinders or something like that.

My grandfather was born in Moscow, he worked after WWII all the life in the factory, he did not live in a house, he had only small flat width 3 rooms. In this house in every flat lived the people who worked in the factory. There was small balcony in every flat an one man had in the balcody some chikens and one cock. It was totally unlegal to have chikens in the balcony of the flat (!!!), but nobody wroted any claim because everybody used this cock as the alarm clock for stand up, have breackfast and go to work to the factory :)
But that was much years ago, now in the town the people can be nervous and write much claims in every instance :p

Well, my first chikens i bought much years ago, by 100 rubl (that`s about one dollar), i was a student, went to the market for buy any food - hotdog, shawarma or cabbage pie width tea or coffee, on the market i have seen one woman width young (1-2 days old) chikens, an bought instead the pie 3 young chikens. It was two cocks and one hen, they was my first chikens. Now i have much more chikens, another fowl and some funny goats of russian breed.

I had a friend about 10 years ago in Russia, we never met but wrote to each other. He lived in Omsk, but I did not ever ask him about chickens.

I never was in Omsk, it is 2706 km from my house )) In general, I rarely travel further than a neighboring village, so I connected myself to the Internet.
Initially, I walked around the Russian-language forums, but then I got tired of them, because they started to bother me with abstruse questions of politics, economics and something like that, I quarreled with them and went on to explore the Internet. So I wandered here. In other matters, I do not communicate much here, more often I just look at photographs and pictures, and sometimes I post something of mine.
There is also a Russian-language forum where I communicate, but there are few poultry farmers, there are more gardeners.
