Grits cut into squares and fried in butter, with syrup, woohoo!
Wow never heard of that before! I dunno it is so hard for me to stray from having my grits with lots of cheese and seasoning. I should try that though it sounds really interesting!

I love how this topic went from shooting a coyote to talking about seasoning and food. I definitely helped derail this thread.

Fried grits are wonderful. I always make a huge pot of grits. I put butter, salt and pepper on my grits. The remaining grits go in a loaf pan so they can be sliced and fried on weekday mornings!

Hey @enola , how about we fix you up with some peas?

Hey, it's got salt in it

(Actually, I seem to recall you almost have to have salt to make cheese, and Parmesan isn't too bad, as salt content goes...)

I'm jealous, I had to quit eating popcorn.
real cheese is made from milk and a cup of milk has 130 mg sodium, like i posted once before many foods have sodium in them it is a necessity for most to survive.
People need an average of 400 mg a day to stay healthy and it is recommend that they keep them numbers below 1800 but most folks do not realize how much sodium is in their food and can easily eat over 4000 in a day. next time you fix a meal check the label and add up all the sodium on the ingredient list , if you are using any processed foods it will shock you the amount you are going to find

My blood pressure started getting high at time so i started monitoring my sodium intake and i am learned that i could control mt blood pressure by monitoring my intake

I think it's funny, especially when I think about how many times we have seen people get uptight about their thread getting hijacked!

Did you now that coyote is the only animal (that I know of) that nothing will eat? If I was to leave that coyote out in the field it would still be there until the maggots or the vultures come back in the spring. No amount of seasoning will change that.

Years ago we had a neighbor that was killing coyotes on his sheep and goat farm. I guess as a warning to the coyotes he started hanging them on fence posts along the road. He probably had about fifteen of them hanging there all in a row. They hung there for a couple of months until the county got after him and made him take them down. We have a law about not displaying dead animals.
