unexpected: we adopted attacked chicken my niece found

I don’t think she has any infectious problem, but stray chickens can possibly be carriers of a disease (respiratory or something like Mareks disease.) That is the reason many people quarantine for a minth, just to watch for any unusual symptoms. But that is up to you to quarantine or not. She may do fine with the other chickens once her wound has healed, but if she is put with them now, they may hurt her by pecking at the red wound. Many people use a wire dog crate or cage next to the other chickens to introduce them over a week or two. Put her food and water in there. The betadine followed by the flammagel is fine to use on the wound. Once it has healed and feathers are growing back, she should be good to add to the flock.

Ty for the advice. We will go put the salve and isobetadine out on the wound now.We are having an old cat carrier. Think we are going to use that since we don't have a dog bench. She doesnt show any signs of Marek. She walks normal, talks normal and the black blood we will keep an eye on if it doesnt become necrotic. Stool is perfectly normal, no blood, no worms, no mucus but hard Tiny bits of stool. She eats and drinks alot herself. I just did try to put fluffy in her wired area. Stayed in it myself too. She talked alot at Fluf, and Fluf pecked the grass calmy. Then Bieke tried to come closer. Fluffy only made herself tall and stared. Little B was shivering. Asap as Fluffy noticed, Fluf walked away. Then she saw her feeding cascet and started to eat. I stopped Fluf. Fluf acted friendly. B came closer, suddenly i see Fluf r to att so wanted to put myself between but to my surprise, Bieke charged also into her and Fluf did not scratch to her, only a controlled shoulder bite, she wasn't aiming for the neck at all. I told Fluf with angry voice it's also for you we are adopting her. Fluf stayed calm after, so was Bieke. Bieke started washing herself 2 times. Fluf didnt show any more signs of agression. There was still awareness but she walked past B from that point, even under her B her tail feathers and the two seemed to be communicating alot. Bieke felt more at ease and Fluf behaved. When i opened the fence to let Fluf out, she wanted to stay. Got the impression Bieke aint eating grass at all. She does eat alot of grain. She aint uncomf when you pet her... Glad if it was a rooster attack, she's now with us without rooster. Bieke can rest the entire day now, what a lovely sweet smart girl. Do you think she is a cochin Tiny one?

This is a picture I found online of a bantam cochin:

Looks like it except you can still see her claws , ty :) my mother is a bit afraid she will be having a living walking clucking and brooding machine when we decided to adopt her in case it was a cochin bantam (couldn't Remember the bantam word) but indeed , looks like her :)

That cursed Mechelse koekoek! Ow we did punish her hard today. Yesterday eve something terrible happened... After we took the first pict of her, we safeguarded her wire extra with metal sticks. She was only alone for 15mins. That stupid Koen was able to move the wire forward. I heard screaming after my dishes was done. My parents werent also at home cause they left at the same time i did the dishes. Nasty brad Koen did move the wire forward with all it's Force, she was pecking on Bieke her wound. Result the filthy crust which i thought was necrotic wasn't there anymore and she clang on, sweet Bieke didnt move inside her wire but agonised from Pain. I pulled the brad off , her beak full of blood and skin and the few feathers Bieke was having there , i don't get it how she could reach her, you need to do a serious amout of Force even as a human to move the wire :( i thought now she's going to die, that brad made a bigger hole in her head.... I couldn't stop the bleeding so i decided to use non alcoholic plaster spray they use for Humans. I got her inside our home where it could dry up. Made her a comfortable nest right fitting for her size with soft wood crulls at bottom and hay in a wooden cascet and put several Big air holes in a Big box where i put her nest in , i covered the bottom with soft walking material and put her water and drinking bowl in there. Calmed her and she fell asleep but i thought she wouldnt make it. I ordered my dad not to ignore my orders anymore and to get her separated. This morning my dad said he did put her back at her wired area but placed back several other metal sticks and marter wire of iron with fine holes before the other marter wire. She seems fine now and bloody Koen Cant touch her. He ignored Koen an entire day. Now when it started raining he put Bieke inside the sleeping barn and blocked the entrance as a punishement to the others. When it's dry he will swap but this time our devil Cant get to her anymore. I didnt sleep entire night checking on her cause i thought she would die but she seems happy now and likes being pet. She still got a chance. My dads cleaning the other side of the sleeping area that's saparated with a big wand so they can hear eachother... I love that chicken alr so much but feeling so guilty...plusside is we could clean the entire wound now

She's alright and going to make it :D the wound of yesterday by Koen closed already, thank heaven...
Today she received a self made wooden waterproof sheltering my dad made.
She still acts very friendly towards us but terrified when she's hearing the other chickens voice so we moved her for now to a little warm barn as a sleeping area that's having a better temp then our house.
She does like to fly alot.... I wont clip her Wings cause i dont want to rob her freedom... But she might go flying into a tree i suspect... To spray antiseptica on her she flew happily at our saloon table in one leap 0_0

Trouble.. she needs to be integrated within the week, my mother doesnt want her here. If she doesnt she is going to make a scène to my dad using angry manipulation... and she needs to a shelter no matter if my dad and i are willing to take care of her :hitPlease help! Dad and i fell for her.

But the integration with Fluffy was a disaster. Bieke is so terrified she charges, 2 out of 3 times fluffy was minor, the third time it was fluffy who took control. No one of the two injured. While she's at dat outside in her Coop, she's still frightened...

Please, i need to integrate her asap into the flock, i don't want to loose her cause of my mom her ocd and narcistic behaviour:oops:
