Unhappy broody hen?

Hello everyone

I want my 6 mo old bantam hen to be happy. She went broody 5 days ago (after seeing other chicks) and she’s sitting on unfertile eggs.

Can I give her fertile eggs, day old chicks (would she really adopt them) or is it best to try to break her broodiness? Can she really stay broody for 3 more weeks?

I know I need to do something, what’s the best option?

I think personally I would wait till next time she goes broody. She is very young yet.

If you give het eggs, make sure she is committed to sitting on them first. If you give her chicks, at least you could take them from her and brood them if necessary.

2x the above, prepare if she "gives up" either way. I would break her due to age, has she started laying yet?

Thank you for your replies, she has started laying about two weeks before she went broody. She looks so unhappy and refuses to move from her nest box. That’s why I don’t want to make her more unhappy by moving her.
I did already try to introduce her to the older chicks to she if she will adopt them but she ignored them sitting on her eggs.
