No.Do you have any game hens?
Well.
Because I believe there isn't a best breed. I've done research and followed other people.that raise them, not just the frogs, and just don't think they're all that.Well.
How do you know which isn’t the best if you’ve never tried to hatch any chicks using a game hen?
Unpopular opinion:
I don't think Silkies are the best broodies. Don't think Games (of ANY kind) Are either. I don't think any one breed can be called the best. After all, I had a BSL and a Japanese bantam that were amazing too and they're not broody breed a at all
Sorry, still trying to catch up! We are totally safe here on the farm with our pet chickens that don't free range and we pamper them and treat them like children. Are you ever really “safe” in SC?
Eh it’s widely accepted that game hens are pretty much the best mothers out there. You’re definitely entitled to your opinion though.Because I believe there isn't a best breed. I've done research and followed other people.that raise them, not just the frogs, and just don't think they're all that.
It's dark outside, but tomorrow I'll try and grab a pic. I need to take more pictures of my babies, but I never bring my phone out to the coopsPic?
And others are entitled to theirs. Maybe it's just because I'll never witness it first hand that o don't believe in it.Eh it’s widely accepted that game hens are pretty much the best mothers out there. You’re definitely entitled to your opinion though.
Ok ok I can believe most of that but 3 females to 1 male? I’m not buying it.my great great granny’s Cracker Jack chickens would set 12 eggs no less no more, and they incubated them as they foraged for bugs because they had pouches....
they always hatched the eggs on Saturday afternoon, and they always hatched 3 females to 1 male... and they helped install rivets on airplanes during the war while still brooding eggs
