I wouldn't say healtgier, bit they are more chixkenlike faster. They don't have to learn as teenagers that a grasshopper isn't going to attack them
I missed reading this thread for a few days.. and woah.. lots to catch up on!
I have found that my brooder reared babies have "killer" instincts from day one! I have my brooders in the garage and if I leave the window open at night the moths and a few other assorted fliers are attracted to the heat lamp - at which point the chicks become bloodthirsty little savages! I went out there at 10pm the other night to see what the ruckus was and they were having this massive brawl over a haircutter beetle. It was both cute and hilarious to watch. They don't seem to show any fear of things out in the juvie pen - in fact I'd say their hunting instincts are rather savage lol.
