How about genuine faux butter?![]()
I remember when it was called oleo. As in oleomargarine.(They call it plant butter now, in some cases, not margarine!)
My dad said that he and his siblings used to fight over who got to mix the little dye pack in the margarine bag.I remember when it was called oleo. As in oleomargarine.
I am old enough to remember that. We never used margarine, but a lot of our friends did.My dad said that he and his siblings used to fight over who got to mix the little dye pack in the margarine bag.
Huh? I'm 67 and I have no idea what you mean?My dad said that he and his siblings used to fight over who got to mix the little dye pack in the margarine bag.
Oleomargarine used to come in little plastic bags. It was white. It came with a little yellow dye pak that you broke into it. You squeezed the margarine in the bag to mix it. I am talking about the late 1940's or very early 1950's. I don't remember when margarine was packaged in cubes like butter because my family didn't use margarine, or oleo as it was often called.Huh? I'm 67 and I have no idea what you mean?
