    SarahF Chillin' With My Peeps

Hi everyone. My broody silkie has been sitting on eggs (one fertilized, two not) for about 1 1/2 weeks now...i candled on Monday and the chick took up half the egg (approx.). How do I know how old this chick is?

    CORRECTION

DH wrote on the calendar the day we candled, that was 13 days ago! I didn't realize it was that long ago!!!

What should I do? I don't have an incubator and Molly is being a good girl and sitting on the egg at all times. It gets cold here at night (-10 c) and the last time I tried to bring her in with eggs, she wouldn't sit on them.

    Now i'm worried [IMG]

I would leave her... thats just my opinion though. Long as she's housed in a coop and not outside I think she'll manage to keep it warm on her own.
