Unusually large craw

Many oldtimers including my mother and grandpa called the crop a craw or crawe. They are interchangeable, but crop is a more modern name used in biology books. Here are some articles and threads about it:

Ok thanks. Mom always called it a craw. But it’s not unusual for her to come up with her own terminology.

I type it crop. I pronounce it craw!
