Yes it does start at 9 am. The last one i went to did and most people went to the forest lake and stillwater swaps before that one whihc is why it had such a terrible turnout. I try to get there a little earlier before everything is picked over. I will have a bunch of chicks that should be hatching at the end of this week and a few older cockerels, a serama roo and who knows what else lol.

There are two other swaps on July 11 ,the one in Moose Lake Mn 8 am till noon ,and there is one in Sturgeon Lake MN 8 am till noon.

Are there any more sales coming up in Long Prairie? What's the contact info?

I haven't heard of any more in Long Prairie. I don't believe they do any fall ones here. I just received an e-mail from Vern though and he has two auctions set up for October. The Perham sale will be on Saturday, October 3 and the Pierz sale will be Friday and Saturday, Oct 9 & 10. He didn't state times or gate fees but I'm sure he will be sending me more info when it gets closer. I have always been impressed with the amount of birds at the Pierz sale. It's a two day sale with the hoofed stock on friday and then poultry, rabbits and house birds on saturday.

I have also heard the game bird show at the fairgrounds in Hutchinson is on September 19th. I believe they have a sale area also but am not sure if it is only gamebirds or if there is other fowl there too. I don't know times or fees on this one either.

What places in MN are having swaps into this fall? I will have some banties to swap(the hens will start laying this fall), probably quail eggs, maybe some ducklings and standard chicks, will have to see what hatches. I would love to do some swapping if I can find someplace relatively close, especially for a rabbit or two,lol.

I just read a sign for a swap in Chisago at The Country Store - Cennex. The dates are August 15 and Sept 19. They call it the critter exchange. Has anyone ever been to swaps in Chisago? Are there many chickens?
