It sure looks like a Golden Retriever or some kind of Lab cross. I keep looking at the depth of the chest and the tucking of the barrel from the deep chest to the haunch, and then at the topline, the head, and the neck. I am still voting for domestic dog.

Then again, there will be new game cam photos and we'll find out it is really the hyena form of the endangered Sasquatch. or "Stick".

I seen this post when it was a baby,,,wow how it has grown.

I once had a live boa constrictor in my bed; on another occasion I found ferrets (plural) under the covers. Then I got smart and divorced my first husband.

Only if ya want to face a stiff fine and potential jail time. They are federally protected again. Also: To the best of my knowledge, nobody in this thread asserted that Coyotes run around with their tails straight up. On the other hand, as it turns out there are numerous photos popping up in this thread with their tails in a similar attitude as the original "mystery photo." So the myth that Coyotes only keep their tails low is pretty much "busted." Of course I've known that all along.

Because one is further away from the camera lens than the other.

Because the photo is one moment frozen in time. Much like their tails, the ears are not static appendages, they change position.

Quote:
Because just like chickens or any other critter, they aren't all carbon copies of each other. And as I pointed out earlier in this thread, Coyotes in particular have a pretty variable body type, even within individual groups.

Quote:
Well both being coyotes it appears to me they share numerous similar qualities, they simply aren't carbon copies of each other.

They're trail cam pics. Of a couple of coyotes.

you should see our coyotes there all so skinny and sickly looking Most of time they have patches of fur missing they all look like running skeletons in these parts if ours looked like that I might just consider keeping one as a pet. since the pups are so easy to catch the one behind her looks like ours all frail and wierd. thanks for anwsering my question as I dont own a game cam never have and never will the only thing I hunt is predators soI have no use for em. and Since I only require 3-4 hours of sleep as you can tell from my post I just patrol the yard most of the night Lurcking in the shadows waiting for my next trophy last Night I bagged a skunk opossum and a armadillo on accident. (he was running in tall grass and ran out at me and startled me oh well armadillo stew)
edited to say I also agree with the theory of coyotes dont hold there tails high or animated when running has been blown out the water. there is definatly 2 pics that proved that thus far. Believe me I am not disputing the 2 are yotes just wierd how they were so different.

This is funny........do you really think a coyote and a fox in the wild are going to run together? They compete for food! Coyote can hold their tail many ways. That is a pair of coyote.
