I hope your uncle was able to help you sew the birds crop up...
you will need to flush the wound regular with sterile saline (boil up 1/4 tsp salt in a quart of water for five minutes) . Do you have triple antibiotic creme? if so apply that to the stitched area after the saline rinse.

I went to go get her last night because i put her in the turkey pen with her best friend and she was roosting with them BTW the roost is 5' high. Anyway i took her in the barn and made a mak shift operating table. My uncle ended up playing with the baby chicks in the brooder so i ended up doing this all by myself. I used alot of hygrogen peroxcid to disinfest the wound area. I then stitched up her crop. Then stitched up some skin. I couldnt stick it all up because there was still stitches on the crop so i have to leave he skin open until the crop heals. and slather it with neosporin. Is there anything else i should do? Can i feed her?


Ohh and shes still alive and made it through the night but were still not out of the woods yet =-(
