I really hope its not 2 weeks, I did ask the doc how long he though and he said 1 hour to a week, he didnt think much longer than that only b/c things were moving along, but he could always be wrong !!!

What kind of infection did you have ??

Yep! I was very blessed!

The thing you need to remember most when you are in labor, is that you have to "let" your body do the work. If you start freaking out and fight against the pain, you will never progress. Once you start to think you can't handle the pain, the best thing to do is ask for an epidural. I had one with my last baby and it was WONDERFUL!!! If you don't want one, then that's okay also. You just need to remember to try and relax and let your body work. That is where most people run into the long labors. It is because they don't relax and fight it. I'm sure you've heard people's stories about how they were in labor for hours and wouldn't progress and then once they got and epidural, things started moving quickly. It's because they fought against the pain and wouldn't relax. Once my contractions started, I would always go to a happy place in my mind, like the beach! I put my focus elsewhere and it worked!

First baby took 50 hours back in the day when you had to be dying before they gave you a c section 1963...next one I was in labor for 4 1/2 months needless to say lots of bed rest and then a c section one week before due date...lots of complications...
