Thanks for all the prayers. We're having a much better day today. Yesterday, 2 of the 3 chest tubes came out, plus they pulled his central line, it had occluded, so why keep it, and they took the pacer wires out.
He's still on oxygen, 1 liter, and he's on IV fluids, he has only 1 chest drain now, but it's still putting off over 100 cc's of fluid a day. He's doing better with eating now, but he's still not eating much at all.
But, the cardiothoracic surgery team feels he's doing well, and he's talking and laughing a bit. I don't see us home in under another week.

He's lost over a pound of weight.

Someone asked his name. His name is Garland, named after his Dad, Grandad, great- grandad, etc. We call him Buddy or Junior.
