Hi Zig Zag. Keep your eggs cool and in a dark room. I don't think you should wait more than about six to seven days.
After you get about three days from hatch, close the incubator and don't open it again. Keep your humidity at about 65. Keep your chicks in the bator until they are all hatched and dry. Chicks can live up to three days without food or water in the bator.
I did put a lid off a jar with marbles in it and water in the bator for my chicks to drink which they are doing. The marbles are interesting so they peck them and discover there is water there. The marbles also keep them from drowning.

I only have the two so far. Here they are. The one on the left was hatched last night and the one on the right was hatched this morning. They weren't really due until tonight.
They are silver penciled Wyandottes. The third of this breed that I have is pipping now.

thank you i was thinking that same thing but why would the egg membrain dry out well anyways i added more water my chick that was stuck i took off all the shell and mebrain that i could still a little stuck to it but i took it our yesterday around 9:30 and it made in through the night and was up walking and chirping this morning so i think it is going to be ok i hope, and those ducks i really want them too i dont even know what breed they are lol but we will see when they are born or are all ducklings eathier brown or yellow
 
yea 50 % is a good rate but i would of loved a higher amount i didnt even get enough to sell to make the money back i spent on all this stuff but hey i got a silkie and ann out of it they are probably the only too i am going to keep or maybe one more that is a silver bottom black top it is my favorite coloring one i have
