did youe ee feather out to look like mine to, like i said these were like a grab bag of eggs i got lol so it could be a EE or a golden laced we will see and trust me i will keep posting pics on here, if you got pics of your chicks i would love to see them and their feathering thanks

I have two bators. One is a Hovabator which is where the duck eggs are and the other has a hatch due on the 28th. I am going to move the batch that I have in bator #1 minus the ducks into the other one, #2, as soon as the ones in it now hatch. Then I can use it as a hatcher.
The ducks will go in #2 when the chicks in that batch are finished, since there is about a week between when chicks hatch and when ducks hatch.
I will have another batch of eggs in bator #1 that will hatch about the same time as the ducks so I will either leave them in bator #1 or move them in with the ducks. Maybe after reading your email I will leave the chick eggs in there and let the ducks hatch by themselves.
Thanks for the advice.

Bock,
May I suggest you get your little duckling a friend - duckling friend, that is! Then he will have somebody to go swimming with. And, another caution. My sizzle jumped in the duck pool by accident and, luckily, I was right there or she may have drowned. She was jumping to get away from another chicken and just happened to land in the pool.

i wish i could get it a duckling friend as i live in the city its hard to find them but i can possibly talk to the guy i got them from b4 and see if he has any but i doubt it and once my duck is grown to be outside it will be seperated from the chickens when it is is swimming time but we will see i hatched this duckling out for my sister as she has wanted one since since hers did not make it that she got from the fair last year but i am going to take care of this one till i know she can take care of it lol as in only feeding it lol i will do the rest, but thanks for the suggestion i will see if i can get some more as my next incubating attempt will start around march 10th or 11th

a wet sponge with a drinking straw stuck thru the foam to pour water on it will fix the humidity for those who obsess ovver that.
