Thank you all for your support, comments and suggestions in our coop building journey
Here are more pictures of the complete Happy Hen House! Tomorrow is running the wire, building an overhang and adding special touches
Cross ventilation which runs across the entire side of the coop on both sides:
View from the back porch
The door installed, whoops I missed a paint spot
Door opened, I am going to make a wire screen to fit the door opening so I can pop it in when I want to door open for more air to go through
Looking at the back again, this where we are going to put an overhang for shade/shelter, this is going to be completely fenced in
This is part of the chicken yard area, we measure one section 14x7 and the other area is 7x7, it is in the shape of an L
and the new self locking latch, I am going to run a string through the top and thread to the inside of the coop to be able to unlock it if I get locked inside
Thank you all for looking and I am open for suggestions too, if you see anything that could be altered/changed/added too let me know, I am also working on nest boxes, finish the paint job I missed and set up posts to run wire, awning and cover for the run.
I am so excited! I let the pullets check it out and they were all clucking happily inside the new Hen House
