UPDATE WITH PICS-Post #68: Ordering on Amazon.com. Have you?

That isn't a requirement any more (common sense). I've had a couple of Netflix discs ruined because they were jambed in to PO box. Not my problem as Netflix replaced them but I had to wait longer to view them.

We have had good experiences with amazon, whether it was from the company themselves or one of their vendors. Our mail carrier, however, is another matter. She's been delivering after 7pm for the past couple months, and twice my partner has ordered books and she has driven up our driveway, tossed the package up near the house, and drove off. how is that good delivery?

From people like me. I've had 3:10 to Yuma for almost a year now. I pay 4.99 a month and get about 2 movies a year. ....sigh...

Actually it isn't as bad now as it was a few years ago--I must have had a half-dozen DVD's picked off when they used to go to Philadelphia. Since they moved to Syracuse there hasn't been a one. But, the USPS is putting itself out of business due to poor handling of Amazon, Netflix and the like--Amazon is shipping more through UPS and Fed-Ex and Netflix is going to more Internet delivery. That's a lot of business lost to USPS mostly because of the lousy service and poor handling.

If you paid via credit card, you can call your credit card and explain you want to put a dispute on that charge until it is resolved. They will remove the charge and interest off of your card until the issue is resolved.

good luck...

Don't know if this was mentioned... I'm skimming....

If you bought it FROM Amazon, then it should have come in a box... you mentioned it was shipped from a company *you named it and I forgot it*.... does this mean you bought it from a dealer THROUGH amazon?!! I only ask because I have never bought so much as a CD from Amazon that came in anything less than a box..... now amazon does allow dealers to sell on the site... you just have to watch to see who the seller is. I don't buy if it isn't FROM amazon.

Sorry to hear about it, though. Really does seem like your personal carrier is a dumb dumb and/or jerk. You should give them a gift.... a book on oragami!!!! (did I spell that right?) LOL!!!! Wonder if they would even "get" it.

I order from Amazon regularly, and many times I buy their used or refurbished items. Have never ever had anything to complain about. I just ordered a refurbished Dell Laptop computer for my grandson for Chritmas. Came preloaded with several great programs, including Office, Norton, included a mouse, had a professional laptop carrying case (just beautiful) and several connectors and other small accessories. Also covered by warranty, and there were complete manuals and recovery discs. Came in 3 days, packaged wonderfully, and all for $370.

I wouldn't know how to shop if it weren't for Amazon.
