If hatcheries did everything perfectly...there'd be no need for a customer service hotline! lol!

I'm betting another variety is in there...but...who knows until they feather out a bit? Hopefully they'll wind up all being the same variety, but until it feathers out....very little hope of figuring it out. They should be getting their other feathers pretty soon....so! You'll soon know!

well, i just noticed something new on this black chick....it has dark feet. The "normal" two have regular yellow-ish feet and the black one has gray feet. Its mostly on the top tho, the bottom is more normal, almost a pinkish. I'll see if I can get some pictures. You can barely see it on the original pictures. Also, I asked the person who I got the eggs from what other kinda birds she had and nothing seemed like it could be this little black chick. All three of them clearly have rosecombs as well. She said she has: Turkens ( Necked- Necks), Dominques, Road Island Reds, & Turkeys Blue Slate, Red Bourbon.

Yep that would make it a girl right since no head spot, and the shadowing on the legs. A surprise for you I am sure. But very cute!

oh nm....now i dont know lol.....it doesnt have a head spot or anything....i am wondering if it could be a mix between a dominique and a silver penciled wyandotte.....hmmm....hopefully its just a unique chick that will grow up to be a normal silver penciled wyandotte adult lol

Missing the spot on the head would make it less likely on being a dominique! lol!

well it sounds stupid lol, but there are plenty of people that swear on it.....and most people say that it works 90% of the time and they use it all the time now. Anywho this is my first attempt at this. You tie a ring to a string and dangle it over the eggs, if it goes back and forth its a pullet if it goes in circles its a cockerel. You've probably heard of this with pregnant women doing it to their bellies.

lol.... thats what i say...its stupid....so im gonna try it!! haha

usually they say like a wedding band or something. But any kind of ring your wear on your finger would work fine...

also you can type it in on the internet and youll find stuff on it
