upper respitory infection, help meds arent working

Here are some state labs that I found for you. Maybe one of these is close enough to help or can give you medical advice as far as treatment until you can find out what they have. Ask them if Coryza is common in your state and if not that would possibly eliminate the Sulmet drugs or at least steer you to which meds would help the most.

FYI, Baytril can also be used with cats and dogs. Two doses of Baytril and you should see a difference *if* it's a bacterial infection.

we had called the gonalez vet. He's the one that told us that

Our poultry vet told us to keep using tylan or buy liquamycin or spectinomycin. Anyone ever use it?
Did he mean "Lincomycin"? Look at the table on page 2, pick what disease you think you have and the most effective antibiotic for that disease.

Then try to figure out if you can get it without a prescription, how much it will cost and how easy it will be to give.

Disclaimer: I don't have much experience with respiratory infections in my own flock, but I did treat a bunch of peafowl at the feed store one year and all of them got better after 5 days of Baytril (enrofloxacin).
