If she has a FEDEX account, you can use her account number to have the shipping billed to her and you don't pay out of pocket. All she has to do is email it to you and you take that number and the box to a FEDEX location.
No way you should pay for shipping it back. I wouldnt ship it back unless the seller pays for UPS or fedex to package it either... as packaging materials will cost you not to mention all the time and hassle this has been all because that seller packaged it incorrectly. Get something in writing from them to saying what they will do for you... so you have it in case something else happens!

Sure ship it back to her and ask her for 150$ additional in shipping plus the 285$ you paid for the bator.
With shipping the first time I paid $360 plus another $100+ to ship it back would be $460+ just for me to break back to even. I honestly can't see any seller willing to do this, especially when they have already told me they are not responsible for the damage and it's up to USP to pay up ( which they won't )

UPS is refusing to pay anything even though extra insurance was purchased. They are saying the seller did not adequately package the hatcher.
well from the description of the "box" it was in it wasnt packaged correctly.
I wouldnt send a darn thing back. I would just let Ebay/Paypal know what is going on and let them handle it and get your money back.
For the seller to expect you to pay to have it sent back without you getting anything from her first is crazy.
I asked the seller if I got an estimate from Mr Dickey to replace the door ( it won't line up ) , the broken hinge and the broken internal part would she be willing to pay for those.
Her reply..
I would have to see what he says. If I had it in front of me I'd spend about $10 at Lowes for a new door latch and some screws, about 20 minutes with a screwdriver and drill to put it all back together, clean off the door and use it.
Does this sound fair to you? I bought it in good condition and that is not how it arrived. I don't think a $10 fix is fair and if it was the seller receiving it in the damaged condition I did I am sure a $10 fix would not make her happy.
No way, get the estimate from Dickey, keep your claim through paypal going and then decide what to do. At this point I'd be worried with their attitude if it was even working in the first place. Tell them the cost to repair/ship it from Dickey , if they dont want to do that, tell her to send you shipping money and you'll ship it back. With Dickey you are going to have shipping costs there and back again too. Remember this is all because they didnt ship it right in the first place.
