URGENT-- frozen feet!

Yesterday I discovered that it doesn’t work well with all chickens... only one out of the four older chickens I did yesterday accepted it. I had to cut leg holes and almost compression wrap our barred rock in a t shirt then hold her in the water. View attachment 1654842
Not a water chicken like @BY Bob ’s (does that chicken think it’s a duck?!)

Hopefully your cow vet will take a look at her for you today! Keep us updated... and they look so cute in your bathtub together.

Unfortunately, every one of my hens has tried to unsuccessfully fly the length of the pool or just fallen in at one time or another. We have had to bathe Daisy and she just settled right in the warm water. To back up you blow drier idea, Daisy loved that. We could still be blow drying her!

Kris, I would expect no less from a Barred Rock! Sounds like she's a good girl!

Victoria I am still soaking 2X a day in Epsom salts, and then applying neosporin, covering her toes loosely with cotton and securing with a little tape. This is more to keep the antibiotic ointment on the feet and cover the bloody bit than anything else.

Gangrene is setting in in earnest. The toes are becoming quite gross.

Aww poor babies.:( Losing toes they an still lead a good life do you think that’s it just toes?
Jaimie I think will loose probably two toes on the one foot.
Victoria will loose 3 on one foot, and I honestly can't tell about the other. I think she may need the whole leg off.
I am hoping my cow vet can lend some guidance on Wednesday.

Still they are alive and have a chance. You have done well.

It is about to be bitter cold again. Are you planning to bring the remaining youngster in the house? What about Nardole? Wouldn't he be alone then?
